Too Long!

Oh, wow, I'm so sorry! I didn't realize I hadn't made an update on this in over a week! Last week was hard on me anyway, but the week before last? No excuse! I made an update on deviantArt, but I guess I forgot to put it up here as well. My bad! Anyway, here it goes!

First up, we have a nice picture of Ludichrom (who else? haha) walking through the woods, all in a day's work. There are actually several versions of this that you can view here: ThiranosTales Favorites Gallery. I really like them all, but this ended up being the final. Love the clover in his hair. Totally Ludichrom!

Next, we have a good one based off of my awful references (which I may post here someday; Until then, just go to References. This is a picture of the two friends themselves, Makenna and Brady! There personalities are reflected pretty well here. Makenna just seems to be doing her own thing while Brady is tagging along behind her, happy just to be with her.

Now, update time! Yeah, last weekend was way too busy for me to work on the book, unfortunately... This last week work pretty much was hari kari everyday. This weekend, however, is the perfect time for me to finish what I started! I have until tomorrow to reach my goal. Now, mind you, that doesn't mean the sequel will be finished, I will have just reached my goal of 70,000 words! I'm so close to it right now I can taste it!

My mind really wants me to get distracted with video games (just realized Sim Theme Park for PS1 is available for DL in the PS3 store), but I absolutely must reach my goal before I'll let myself play any games!

On a side note, I kind of started another story from something I came up with in the shower.... Nothing huge right now, but it might be a future project. I've also been thinking about a fantasy series that I came up with while in college but never finished or even wrote much of, but I want to revisit that at some point as well. I would really want to get through Book III though because I get into any of that.

My goals right now are to finish Book II (ready for editing!), start revising the softcopy of Book I (at least the first 3 chapters have to be perfect!), and start to query for Book I. I know it sounds weird, but I'm honestly really excited to start getting rejection emails again. It's been a long time since I queried, but I actually had something to look forward to when I checked my emails, even if it was the ubiquitous, "That project does not seem right for me at the present time," reply. Oh well, guess we'll see!

September will be a pretty busy month for me. Going on vacation my birthday week near the end of the month. I am hoping to be querying by the end of October though. Here's hoping!

Bestie and Beastie

First off, today we have Makenna's best friend, Brady! Hurray! I'm glad he's finally getting some recognition! Apparently he's a contortionist too, according to the picture, that is. Check it out! Love the eyes and hair!

Secondly, we have our newest member, Thea! She's a Veil Guardian and an Imp. She's very mischievous, but she's also one of the sweetest things you'll ever meet! I love the dog-like quality here as well as the amulet in the hair!

Extra Two!

We have a special edition today! Two rare drawings you don't want to miss! First off, we have a polymorphing Morgal demon that has no name. Makenna is confronted by this demon in Book I where the situation goes from steamy to steamy poop in mere minutes. She gets hurt fairly badly here, but it's nothing that a little TLC from her best friend can't fix! Note the long talons and crazy creepy smile! Love it!

In second today we have a rare picture of Scotty (with his shirt off, nonetheless!) I like how he's the only one not wearing a shirt. Can't spot him? Bottom right for those of you who are blind. I love what she did with his hair! Amazing!

I haven't done much with my goals this week, mainly because my hubby and I have been house shopping. But, yesterday my car died as well, so that didn't help. I'm thinking Friday is probably going to be my day to catch up. I think the 95% goal can be easily reached, and I know I can finish the hardcopy by the end of the week, tonight even, if I don't get distracted by So You Think You Can Dance? that is...

Makenna is Back!

Finally! I get a request done other than the amazing Ludichrom!

Makenna here is practically perfect! I love the clothes she is wearing, definitely her personality! The pose she is striking is perfect as well. Makenna isn't too worried about anything unless it concerns her or her friends. She's just living life the way it is meant to be lived: fully!

As an update, I've drawn references for both Scotty and Thea. I'll upload them soon. I'm about to start more of the hardcopy revision. Going to see how far I can get today. Tonight I might work on the sequel more to see how close to 95% I can make it before tonight ends. That way I'll be well on my way to my goals next week.

I haven't exactly made goals for next weekend, but here's what I'm thinking: 1) 95% on sequel, 2) Hardcopy revision done, 3) Draw Gaia and an additional character, 4) Query Letter (optional), 5) Summary (optional).

New Background Makes Me Happy!

This is just an amazing piece of art! I absolutely love this picture for multiple reasons! Ludichrom (hope you're not sick of hearing about him!) really looks both vicious and confident in this interpretation. He seems to know what he is doing, and he appears to be a seasoned fighter. Just look at those guns! So awesome! I love the background too! It's perfect!

Now for updates! I'm at 90% of my goal right now for the sequel, and there is a good chance I will have hit, if not be close to, 95% by the end of the weekend! I'm hoping to get my hardcopy revision a bit farther as well.

Leprechaun Hottie

Just got another Ludichrom request. He's pretty adorable! His face is getting attacked by his freckles! But I love the youthfulness! He's super cute!

In other news, I met my 85% goal as well as my 75% goal for the hardcopy. I also posted Makenna's and Brady's reference pictures. You can find them in my gallery here: ThiranosTales. I'm too embarrassed to post them here because of the quality. Maybe I'll try to get some better ones up sometime.

Two for Today

Awesome, guys! I have two requests done and up that are pretty awesome! First up we have Makenna in her hybrid form! I love the hair, tail, and ears with the red tips. It's perfect!

Next, we have a realistic version of Ludichrom! Yes, a realistic Leprechaun... A demon fighting warrior Leprechaun. Does it get any better? The artist said it was the most fun to do. I feel like that's a trend with Ludichrom. I love how a demon fighting Leprechaun seems to be a unique idea. Let's hope that pushes me ahead a bit!

Two to Catch up On

Okay, this time I have two because I didn't post the previous one I received. I'll do it first. You can see it below. Honestly, I don't remember what character this is supposed to be. I recognize a few of the features, but nothing else seems familiar. Until I figure it out, just think of it as a mysterious character who is probably up to no good!

My goals for the weekend are 1) get to 85%, 2) post at least two refs of my own, 3) order the parts I have written, and 4) get to 75% on the hardcopy revision. Once I get 1 I can get 3. I am close to having 2 done, and 4 is at around 64%.
