Feature: Alexbee1236

I'm doing features for some of my deviant watchers on deviantART. I'll be posting them on here as well!

Who is AlexBee1236? Let's dive a little deeper and find out!

First, I'd like to refeature the wonderful deviation of my OC that Alexbee1236 did of my infamous Ludichrom.

Now isn't he just cute? On to the good stuff!

I asked Alexbee1236 to tell us five things about herself. Here's what she said!

1) My work has been featured on the Northern Virginia Writing Project's SSI anthologies for four years in a row.
2) One piece of mine was selected by Bob Weber to appear on his website for aspiring young artists, KidCartoonists.com. (See link: www.kidcartoonists.com/2014/08….)
3) I take free requests! Please see my two recent journals for more information.
4) I am the founder of the-hobbit-fan-club. Please join! We are a small institution, but we hope to grow!
5) My work is on Pinterest (Alexandra Bowman), Tumblr (Alexbee42/The Hitchhiking Hobbit of 221B), and Artician.

Next, I asked Alexbee a few questions here's the Q&A:

1) What do you enjoy about art?
    -    I love seeing lines come to life before my eyes! The act of creating characters on paper is a wonderful sensation. I also love creating my own interpretations of my favorite characters, and making my own as well!

2) How long have you been drawing?
    -    I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, although I really got going in late 2012 after watching "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and I started drawing Bilbo Baggins on every single piece of paper in sight.

3) What's your favorite medium?
    -    I love using pencil, Faber-Castell Pitt Artist pens, Prismacolor colored pencils, watercolors, Autodesk Sketchbook, and anything that happens to be available at the moment. I'd love to learn to use charcoal someday!

4) What inspires you the most?
    -    I am most inspired by books, novels, movies, nature, and personal experience. I also love looking at deviantART or talking with friends for inspiration.

5) What deviation are you most proud of?
    -
6) Do you have any OCs? If so, tell me about them!
    -    A) Raphie the Lab. He's a young yellow English Labrador Retriever, a very cultured fellow with a British accent ("Raphie" is short for "Raphael"). I have a piece featuring him, if you would like to see it!

         B) Lester the Dragon. He's very confident, intelligent, and well-bred. No drawings in my gallery feature him yet, but I'll upload them soon!

         C) A cute dragon character without a name.

         D) A baby hamster without a name.

         E) Arthur Hamish Baggins, if it counts.

As I was going through AlexBee1236's gallery, I picked a few favorites of my own!

Alexbee wanted to tell us a bit more about herself. You are more than welcome to visit her profile page (I encourage you to!), but for those of us who are a bit more lazy, here's what she has to say:

"Hello, fellow sketchers! I'm Alexbee1236. I love to draw, especially things relating to fantasy, dragons, hobbits, consulting detectives, hoopy froods who know where their towels are, hedgehogs, and animals in general. I do take requests, so please feel free to submit them below! Please "favorite" my drawings and watch me! I am also on Pinterest (see link). I have an account on OurArtCorner.com. (Link: ourartcorner.com/works/Alexbee…) Just recently I signed up for Tumblr, so I'm still getting used to the controls, but if you'd like to follow me, my username is Alexbee42. My blog title is, appropriately, "The Hitchhiking Hobbit of 221B".

My work has been featured on the Northern Virginia Writing Project's SSI anthologies for four years in a row. One piece of mine was selected by Bob Weber to appear on his website for aspiring young artists, KidCartoonists.com. (See link: www.kidcartoonists.com/2014/08….) I am mainly a hobbyist, but an aspiring hobbyist nonetheless. I love learning all the ins and outs of drawing. Right now, I'm using both books, our lovely Internet, and YOUR art tips to improve and progress! I suppose I can say I'm a student.

My work is on Redbubble! My username is AlexBowman314. There's a link below!

If you watch me, favorite anything I post, comment on anything on my profile, give me a badge, etc., I will watch you, 99% guarantee.

I am the founder of the group entitled "The-Hobbit-Fan-Club". Click here to join! :iconthe-hobbit-fan-club:

I take commissions and requests! They are all 100% free! I will try my best to fulfill your request, although some things are just not up my alley, and I apologize if that turns out to be the case. But, if you have a request, please comment below on my profile or on a piece related to your request. See my recent Journal post for more information.

I am a big fan of all things fantasy and science fiction. If you like either, I HIGHLY recommend that you check out my gallery!

If you don't like either of those genres, I still recommend that you [click on my gallery] and take a look! I draw lots of different things: from from hobbits to hedgehogs, from Disney to dragons, from Sherlock to Stitch, from Night Furies to Narnia… my gallery has it all!"

Thanks, AlexBee1236! I encourage everyone to check out the rest of the amazing art in her gallery. Watch her or at least give her a llama!

If you want to be featured, send me a note for details! All you gotta do is draw one of my OCs and answer a few questions about yourself. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, and I hope you've smiled at least once today. If not, watch this: Lizard Nomming
Yours Truly,

Scotty, Let's Party!

Been a while, it seems! I've got a beautiful wonder piece of art of Scotty, the party man! I love his personality here! He just seems like a fun guy to be around. And gosh, those abs? Jealous much? We'll go shopping after the club, Scotty!

Still reading Percy Jackson like mad... Need to work on my own stuff!!!

More Makenna

What's up, world? Today I have another Makenna picture to show you. Here she looks just a bit older. The deviant did a good job just going from half a reference!

Courtesy of Deviant lunaras13

I have a couple projects in the works that once I post them on deviantArt, I'll link them here... Or perhaps I'll post them here too? I'm not sure how that will work yet, but just be on the look out for them.

On another note, my next goal is to get Thiranos: Born of Fire looking pristine up through the first three chapters. Then, hopefully, by the end of October I'll be actively querying for an agent! I'm so excited to receive rejections!

As a side note to my other note, I just wanted to remind everyone I'll be on vacation the 21st-27th. I may have intermittent Internet access or none at all. We'll see. Hopefully, I'll get a lot of work done on my side project!

Ludichrom, Hearts, Stars, Horseshoes

This first picture is Ludichrom as a traditional Leprechaun. He wants you to eat his delicious cereal, but only if you can catch him on his red balloon! Haha, seriously, he's super cute here and super happy as well!

Next, we have this cute little head shot of Makenna! She is just super cute! Love her little smile and big eyes!

I'm still not sure about the internet during my vacation, but if there is going to be a problem, it will present itself from the 23rd-26th. Hopefully, there won't be a problem at all, but that remains to be seen. I'm getting my new laptop soon! Hurray! In other words, I'm going to be super distracted...

Pure Magic!

Here's a lovely little piece that a deviant did for me! It's Ludichrom, but this piece is so much different than the other ones! I love how he drew him from behind like he is just waiting to take on whatever comes out of the darkness. I know Ludichrom isn't the main character in my book, but Ludichrom is definitely my favorite! Oh, yes, he is so much more of a deeper character than is shown in the book.

Anyway, check out that ax! A clover ax? How cool! Leprechauns eat clover, so I can imagine him swinging that thing and yelling, "Eat this!" Love it! The rainbow effect is pretty amazing too. Really set the mood of the Leprechaun!

Just a random thought, how cool would it be to have a double clover ax? When you put them together they would be a four-leaf clover!

I finished typing the second book! Huzzah! Now, if only I could make my mind stop racing and thinking of things so I can take a short break from it... Not gonna happen. Oh, well!

Request Dump!

I have a ton of awesome art to post for you guys! (You know, you random people who just happen upon my blog from dA or google - Love you guys!)

Here's the first one, we have a sketch dump with Ludichrom hidden in there. 10 points if you can spot him! Haha! He looks like he means business here! I like the size that she made him. For once we can see his size compared to others. He's supposed to be able 3-4ft. which is a little bit bigger than traditional Leprechauns. These Leprechauns mean business though!

Next, we have the cutest depiction of Ludichrom I have seen yet! Ludichrom is shrunk down even more to chibi size! He really is just the cutest darned thing here. I mean, admit it, you want to pinch those little cheeks! And those feet? And that pose! All adorable!

Courtesy of Deviant lilCocoBear

Here we have another lovely group of sketches with a hidden Thiranos character. At the bottom right you will see Scotty creepin' with his shirt off (nothing out of the ordinary, right?) He just looks like he's a fun guy! I would totally be his friend... And maybe more if he asked! -^.^-

Lastly, we come to a super special sketch! All three of our main characters too time out of their busy schedules to grace us with their presence! May I present to you Brady, Makenna, and Scotty! Brady is looking shy (and hobbit-like) while Makenna is just being adorable (she bites, though.) And, of course, Scotty doesn't have his shirt on (male model anyone?) I love it!

There are more coming in the near future, so be on the look out for them! As per an update on my goals, I am so close to the end of the sequel that I could touch it! I could easily finish it today if my brain lets me! We'll see... I am going on vacation the 21st-27th, and there is a chance I'll be without internet. I am also getting an Alienware laptop soon, sooo.... Yeah, I might be really distracted in the near future. That's why I'm trying to finish the sequel as soon as possible. I also have the Sims 4, given to me by my hubby for my soon-birthday. I might actually do a review on it here just as a break in the pace. I'll have pictures and everything! Watch for it!

Scotty and Goals

Here's a nice picture of Scotty. I don't have very many of him, so I savor them when I get them! He's pretty cute in here with short hair!

Courtesy of Deviant MizzIsAwesome

I also have another awesome picture it display of another rare character, Makenna! Here, she is third from the left in this picture. I got to watch this being drawn over JoinMe, so that made it extra awesome! Here she's displaying her abnormal strength and jumping abilities. The ground crumbles beneath her!

So.... This home stretch is really, really hard for me right now because I have so much other stuff on my plate. I've been stressed from all sides of life, and I don't want to make my writing something that is stressful as well. I do feel like I need to finish this book before I start querying, but my mind has already ended the series as well as gone to the spin-offs I have in mind! Gosh! So much to write! My ultimate goal in this is to have one book published. Just one. If I don't get any of the others published, then my children will have something nice to read when they get older. I have a story to tell, and dagblameit, I'm going to tell it!
