In other news, I'm still querying for Thiranos: Born of Fire. I haven't gotten a good hit yet, but I have a lot of lines cast! I'm starting to revise/format the sequel, Thiranos: Born of Earth as well. I'm hoping to have the first revision finished by the end February. Then I'll go full steam ahead on, Thiranos: Born of Hell!

A Year to End and Begin

Welcome to the end of 2014! I hope it has been a good year for you! It certainly has been a great year for me!

During this year, Thiranos, while it may not have been conceived, has grown into a rich world full of relatable characters that are just dying to tell us their stories! Two of the three Thiranos books have been written, and many of the other Thiranos Tales book are in the planning stages!

I am so excited about what this past year has brought and what this coming year has yet to bring! So much can happen in so little time, and I urge everyone to make the most of it!

Hey, all! I hope everyone has been having a wonderful holiday season! I just posted a few sketches of some of our favorite characters on my deviantArt account, so I thought I'd bring them to you here as well!

Not the most perfect or accurate things in the world, but I like 'em. Might do some more in the future like these. Totally not comfortable with bodies at all, but we'll see what happens.

As per my story, haven't gotten any manuscript requests yet, but maybe tomorrow I'll send some more out. It is the holidays, after all. Agents need breaks too! I've been sick lately, but I finally got some antibiotics in me, so, hopefully, I'll start being productive again. I've thought about several short stories which, again, aren't on the Flowchart of Progress, but I want to type them up anyway.

I just can't seem to draw myself away from Pokemon Alpha Sapphire...

Background Mania!

So, I decided the other day that I absolutely love writing background stories for my characters.

I'll be honest, when I first started writing Thiranos, I was not very fond of the main character, Makenna. I wanted to like her, but I wasn't sure if I could, knowing the way that she seems to be oblivious to her best friend Brady and his feelings towards her. I wanted to know more about them. What makes Makenna the way she is? Where does Brady get his personality? Why do they care for each other so much?

I started writing background stories based on certain items or events that were nonchalantly mentioned in my manuscripts. Each tale reveals something about the reference that makes the reader understand something more about the character, why they are who they are.

So far, I have only written about Makenna and Brady. And Brady... I have to admit, as I was writing and reading and revising (rinse and repeat), the first manuscript, I wanted to like Brady. I tried so hard to like him, but for some reason, I just couldn't bring myself to say, yes, he is the better guy in this situation. But, alas, I couldn't say that... until I wrote a couple of extra stories with him. Then I understood him so much better, and now I love him for who he is and more. I've also grown a bit more fond of Makenna, seeing how she truly does care for Brady in her own way.

I really want to write more about Scotty, and I have a few stories planned (see flowchart of progress.) But right now, as much as I like Scotty, I'm having too much fun exploring the depths of the relationship between Makenna and Brady.

Here's what I've written so far:

Queries Ahoy!

Yes! I have started querying! Basically, I'm an amateur at this kind of stuff. I mean, I send about 400 or more queries for Manassas, my first manuscript, and I got 400 rejections. But, that didn't stop me! I took a break from Manassas for a while and came back to it at the beginning of the year intending to rewrite it. As I was starting on the revision, I came across a notebook that held a hidden treasure I had long forgotten about, an excerpt from my baby Thiranos project.

There it began, and there it stayed. Since then I've written two manuscripts and have planned several more! Now I've revised the first manuscript in the Thiranos Tales series, Thiranos: Born of Fire, and I have begun to send queries to agents.

It's scary to send your work out there into the world. I picture it alone and afraid, shivering in an alley holding up an old tin cup, begging for loose change. I want to do all I can to help it, but right now, I just have to sit and wait. It's out of my hands now. I just pray that my work speaks for itself. All it takes it getting one agent to think, "Demon fighting leprechauns? This just might be the next trend!" Or something along those lines...

Welcome, welcome! Here I am featuring the last winner of the dA-WritersRevolution membership drive, Dudet19!

When Miss Dudet isn't writing, she likes to sleep and listen to music. If she's not long-boarding, Dudet19 is rather fond of reading. She enjoys the books Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and1984. Edgar Allen Poe is one of her favorite authors. It's more than evident that she takes much of her inspiration from him in her writing. Dudet19 absolutely loves food! Especially, sushi! She also believes that she is adept at creating strange, yet beautiful descriptions. She is currently a college student from the southern United States, and she has the tendency to want to believe in people. It's always great to hear that some people still have faith in humanity!

Dudet19 is inspired by life and music such as "Rage Against the Machine" and "My Chemical Romance." She has multiple writing processes depending on what she is writing and her mood. While a happy mood may not be best for writing for her, she tends to come up with haikus when she is walking to different places. For her, poetry requires silence, and with short stories she enjoys being inspired by creepy instrumental music.

She has been writing stories since she was very young, elementary school even. In seventh grade, she began to write poetry in an attempt to express the ever changing emotions of that age. Despite losing her books, she has fond memories of her writings back then. Dudet19 likes to write poetry, if you couldn't tell by visiting her gallery! Sci-fi and horror are her fortes!

Future and Features!

Hey guys!  So, here's what I have on my plate for the future!


I have 3 of 16 projects in the works! Born of Fire and Born of Earth have been written and are in the process of revision. One Fallen Journal has been written, and more are to come (there are thirteen Hell dimensions, after all!) The other Thiranos short stories will make more sense to my beta readers (btw, if you're interested in beta reading, let me know), but I'll try to make it enjoyable for non-readers as well.

Now, onto a few features I'd been putting off because I'm lazy.
